2024 Orthopaedic Trauma: Fracture Problems in the Real World - New Solutions to Old Problems

The 2024 Orthopaedic Trauma Symposium will present a review of new techniques to address common fractures encountered in practice. Didactic sessions focused on new and emerging concepts will be presented by expert faculty. Additionally, skills labs to make the concepts discussed more granular will be offered.


Objectives
Share experience and approaches to challenging cases with colleagues and expert faculty to enhance understanding of recommended treatment and management strategies.
Recognize the challenges posed by bone loss, infections, non-unions, and other issues and take steps to mitigate complications and adverse outcomes.
Identify unique and difficult fracture patterns and problems in the orthopaedic trauma patient and utilize the best treatment options and algorithms for these difficult cases.
Apply performance improvement tips to improve interactions that can result in enhanced patient and provider outcomes and experiences.
Incorporate an interprofessional team-based approach in the management of common and complex fractures.

28th Annual Pain Management and Sports Medicine Symposium: Low Back Pain - Back on Track

The optimal way of preventing chronic pain is to treat acute pain appropriately, using evidence-based medical, interventional, rehabilitation, and psychological modalities. This year's course will include speakers spanning pain medicine, physiatry, and sports medicine.
The content is designed to assist the busy health care provider with evaluating and managing common and sometimes challenging acute and chronic low back pain conditions more comfortably.

Attendees will interact with pain management and sports medicine specialists during special panel sessions and see first-hand the practical benefits of physical therapy and tai chi/movement therapies through hands-on breakout and demonstration sessions.
As part of our symposium activities, we will also be featuring lunch time lectures on state-of-the-art topics at 12:15 p.m. PT on Tuesday and Wednesday the week of the symposium. Please see the course brochure for more information on registration for this complimentary sessions.

The Philadelphia Spine Research Society (PSRS) and the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) welcomes you to the ORS PSRS 7th International Spine Research Symposium.
