Product Overview

Matrix IQ® Dermis, human derived dermal grafts are decellularized to remove cellular components and preserve the biological properties that promote revascularization and repair of damaged tissue. The indications for use of Matrix IQ® Dermis include: the replacement of damaged or inadequate integument tissue; and repair, reinforcement, or supplemental support of soft tissue defects such as breast reconstruction, abdominal wall repair, and reinforcement of tendons. It may be used as a wound covering, and in the treatment of diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, and partial and full-thickness wounds. It maintains the elasticity of human skin and provides a natural scaffold for cellular and capillary remodeling of the damaged site.

The grafts are frozen and sterilized using low-dose, low-temperature gamma irradiation to achieve a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10-6. The dermis is stored at frozen temperature (-40° C to -80° C) and has a shelf-life of up to 5 years from the date of packaging. Matrix IQ® is available in a variety of sizes and thicknesses, and can be shaped with scissors or scalpel. (http://www.cellrighttechnologies.com/index.html)
