Bipolar head with mounted metal plug head
The BioBall® Duo Head Bipolar is a bipolar head with the outer shell, the inlay and the inner plug head already pre-assembled. When used in combination with the BioBall™ adapter in patients with largely intact acetabulum, this allows femoral neck length correction (see BioBall® standard adapter) along with medialisation/lateralisation and correction of retro- or antetorsion, thereby producing optimum surgical results.

Indications
• Advanced wear of the proximal femur due to degenerative, post-traumatic or rheumatic diseases with well-preserved acetabulum, including medial femoral neck fractures and advanced avascular necrosis of the femoral head, which cannot be treated using conservative or joint-preserving surgical procedures
• Hemiarthroplasty with unpromising femoral neck fractures to be treated by osteosynthesis (www.merete-medical.com)
