Description
-This graft is one-half of the distal femur sectioned at
the metaphyseal flare and bisected through the
intercondylar fossa, yielding medial and lateral
implants. Articular cartilage is not removed. Standard
measurements include the diameter of the shaft at the
point of transsection (A), the length of the graft from
the cut at the metaphyseal flare to the distal-most end
(B), and the width from lateral border to the medial
transsection at the widest point (C).
Common Uses
-Reconstruction due to trauma, tumor, degenerative
disease or fractures, knee revision, acetabular
reconstruction, and hip revision arthroplasty.
