Description:

-Shaft sections are cut to provide approximately one
half of the total length. If the femur head is removed,
approximately one-half of the neck will be present. If
the femur head is left intact, the cartilage will be
removed. Standard measurements include the
diameter of the femur head in the A/P plane (A), length
of the graft from the top of the greater trochanter to
the distal-most end (B), and the diameter of the shaft
at the point of transsection (C).

Common uses:

-Hip revision arthroplasty, reconstruction due to
trauma, tumor, and degenerative disease or fracture.
